This St. Martha Medal and Necklace features a pendant with a hand pressed image of St. Martha surrounded by the words ‘St. Martha Pray for Us’.

  • The St. Martha pendant features a small loop at the top to be worn as a necklace.
  • The St. Martha pendant is available in three sizes: Large (approximately quarter size) which is the ideal size for men, Medium (approximately dime size) which is the ideal size for teenagers and women, and Small (charm size).

    St. Martha

    John tells us in his Gospel that Saint Martha was the sister of Mary and Lazarus. It was she who received Jesus into her house and complained because Mary sat at the feet of the Savior, communing with Him, instead of helping with the household duties. In reply, Jesus said: “Martha, Martha, thou art careful and art troubled about many things: But one thing is necessary. Mary hath chosen the best part, which shall not be taken away from her”. (Luke 10: 41, 42.) On the occasion when Lazarus was ill, the sisters sent Him word, “Lord, he whom Thou lovest is sick”.

    After the Ascension of Jesus, Martha and Mary and St. Lazarus were put aboard a ship without sails or oars by the enemies of Christianity. Divine Providence guided the ship to the eastern shore of France, where Lazarus became the Bishop of Marseilles, St. Mary Magdalen a hermit, and Saint Martha the foundress of a group of pious women who performed charitable works.
