Saint Brendan the Navigator was an Irish monk and abbot. He was born in County Kerry, Ireland, in 484. Brendan is credited with leading a voyage of exploration across the Atlantic Ocean. He is also known for his writings on spirituality and monasticism. Brendan died in Clonfert, Ireland, in 577. He is the patron saint of sailors, travelers, and geese.
