Saint Bridget of Sweden was a Swedish Roman Catholic saint, mystic, and religious leader. She was born in Finsta, Sweden, in 1303. Bridget was a prolific writer and mystic. She founded the Bridgettine Order of nuns, which is still in existence today. Bridget died in Rome, Italy, in 1373. She is the patron saint of Sweden, Europe, and the Roman Catholic Church.
