Saint Cecilia was a Christian martyr who lived in the 3rd century AD. She was born in Rome, Italy, in c. 222. Cecilia was a devout Christian who refused to marry a pagan man. She was tortured and then beheaded in Rome in 230 AD. She is the patron saint of musicians, singers, and organ builders.
