Saint Dominic de Guzman was a Spanish priest and friar who founded the Dominican Order. He was born in Caleruega, Spain, in 1170. Dominic was a gifted preacher and teacher. He died in Bologna, Italy, in 1221. He is the patron saint of preachers, astronomers, and those who are falsely accused.
