Saint Kevin was a 6th-century Irish monk and abbot who founded the monastery of Glendalough. He was born in Glendalough, Ireland, in c. 498. Kevin was a devout Catholic who was known for his charity and his love of the poor. He died in Glendalough, Ireland, in c. 618. He is the patron saint of Ireland, travelers, and boatmen.
