St. Francis de Sales was born of noble and pious parents in Sales, France, in 1567. He gave up the prospects of a grand career laid out to him by his father in order to become a Priest. It is claimed that even in childhood he had the adult heart of the Saints.

St. Mark was born a Jew and was converted to Christianity by the Apostles after the Resurrection of Christ.

St. Fidelis was born in Sigmaringen, Germany in 1577. He was educated at the University of Fribourg, Switzerland, and led an austere, prayerful life.

Born in Cappadocia, Eastern Asia Minor, St. George in early youth followed the life of a soldier under Diocletian. However, when the emperor cruelly persecuted the Christians, St. George publicly rebuked him and resigned from his posting as tribune.
