The benefits of singing fun mealtime prayers with your kids

My family is not musically talented, but we still love singing our mealtime prayers together. Every meal a different family member gets to pick which of these fun mealtime prayers to pray together as a family. This gives everyone sufficient time to pick out a song, or even a memorable bible verse or special prayer intention. We often take this time to remember family members who have passed or pray for anyone who may be ill in our life. After dinner, we also enjoy praying an evening prayer together.

No matter how stressful your day might have been, singing these fun and uplifting mealtime prayers with your family offers a reminder of what is truly important in life. Singing these mealtime prayers with our kids is a highlight of my day seeing all of the blessings bestowed on our household and the joy my kids find in their relationship with Jesus.

When my family recites grace, we invite the Lord into our supper. We invite Jesus Christ to be with us during that meal and be with us throughout the day. Prayer should be recited regularly.
